I started my Flight Centre journey in the learnership program in 2009, upon my completion of the learnership I was appointed as a novice in the Woodmead branch in 2010. I then joined Ticket Centre in 2011, I gained extensive fares and ticketing experience in the three years I was at Ticket Centre, though I enjoyed fares I felt the urge to learn more about the company, and that’s when I joined the Product team as a content coordinator in 2014.
I learned a lot about land product contracting and loading. After two years of being in the product space, I took a break for a year and came back to Flight Centre in 2017 as an online consultant.
Online was an amazing experience, it was nothing I had ever done before, the department was brand new and that’s exactly what I wanted, something new and challenging. The launch of the online department was amazing, we were the new kids in the block, and we took over! March 2020 came, and everything went pear-shaped, and May of 2020 I was retrenched.
But because Flight Centre is my home, I came back in 2021 as a receptionist for 6months and now I have yet again found myself joining an amazing team, the Learning and development team as an air support consultant for the FCIU brand
